Walt and his team of Imagineers, created “It’s A Small World” as a tribute to the children of the world for 1964/65 World’s Fair in New York.
The entrance area where people line up inside the ride consists of recognizable silhouettes of world landmarks all done in different textures, painted white and highlighted in gold.
Your party will load into a slow moving boat for a joyful 10.5 minute journey. As you slowly cruse along the waters edge, look to each side of you. There are brightly colored dolls and toys from different countries around the world, look for your country!
These adorable animated dolls singing and dancing! Lear the song and sing along!
t’s a world of hopes and a world of fears;
There’s so much that we share,
That it’s time we’re aware
It’s a small world after all!”
Teach it to your kids and they will be so excited to sing along on the ride! The dolls sing it in five different languages English, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Swedish It is catchy in all five!
The boat cruises along 1,085 ft indoor canal . The dolls have basic mechanic movements. No special effect on this one. This ride is also more geared to a very young crowed the little ones will love it.
Disney classic movie based ride for little kids, Dumbo the Flying Elephant takes you up! up! and around and round Fantasyland! The small children will load into the back of a cute jumbo baby elephant.
There are sixteen of this adorable baby elephants that take you high off the ground. Each elephant holds a two people small children need to ride with a parent. You are able to control the hight/up motion of you elephant while circling a colorful hot air balloon. Look for Dumbo’s friend, Timothy Mouse atop the balloon.
Not enough action on this ride to keep a 12 year old interested but it is still exciting for the younger children.
The line is always long because it’s a very popular kiddie ride , as well slow loading and unloading. This ride during the warmer months gets very hot as a result of the uncovered waiting area. You may want to purchase a nice cold beverage to drink while you wait. Head here first thing when the park opens or, when staying at a Disney Resort,take advantage of the morning Extra MagicHour. To avoid the long lines
Positiond at the entrance to Tomorrowland. The Astro Orbitor takes you high above the skies of Tomorrowland. Once you bored your space craft fit for two, the smaller passenger sits in the front. The front passenger will be able to control the how far up and down you wish to go during the ride. You will be delight by the complete circular view of Tomorrowland and beyond. Your two person rocket orbits around a solar system. Experience the Magic Kingdom from a whole new perspective with an areal view. This is a great ride for all ages, I recommend experiencing tis ride in between Fast Pass times. This ride at the Magic Kingdom does 11 rotations per minute and averages 1.2 million miles a year. This ride is tall, but to really to it off it sits a top a building
The Test Track attraction at Epcot is a vehicle testing simulation ride that gives you an inside look at the automotive testing procedures conducted by General Motors. Test Track is Disney’s longest and fastest attraction, taking visitors through a series of performance and handling tests that reach speeds of up to 65 mph. Your futuristic test vehicle is going to take you through General Motors testing facility. This is where you will experience the various tests that are conducted on automobile prototypes, from hair-pin turns that test suspension to racing around the 50-degree banked curves at blazing speeds. A unique roller coaster experience, this amazing attraction will take you up, down and all around. To ride it is such a cool experience to watch it is almost as fun! I recommend this awesome ride to anyone who wants to start riding roller coasters, the drops are not to scary, and it doesn’t go up side down.
As for the paint job on this attraction, I have heard Disney spent a lot of money trying to make this ride look cheap!
